Captain Bella Turben and fellow cheerleaders Madi Sloan (10), Kari Ofte (12), Maddy Berg (11), Sydney Sill (10), and Rhianna Steiger (11), cheered at their last home wrestling meet, which combined multiple honors as our school celebrated the parents and seniors of our winter cheer and wrestling teams. The final home wresting meet celebrated Parents Night, Youth Night, and Seniors Night.

Throughout the season WAHS’s winter cheer team have been practicing multiple ditties for pep bands and floor cheers for wrestling meets. The 2022-23 season is nearing the end and the cheer team hopes that one or more of the wrestlers to make it to state. That way the cheerleaders can end their season with a bang. Captain Bella Turben (11) stated, “Our team this year is an amazing group of girls.” Westby is lucky to have these girls support their wrestlers to victory.

Anyone interested in supporting our cheerleaders and wrestlers can come to the following meets and tournaments: February 11th, regionals TBD; February 18th, sectionals TBD; and February 23-25th, state.
