FFA Update: Senior Windy City Adventure
The last week of January, eight FFA seniors boarded the Amtrak in La Crosse bound for Chicago. Along the way local FFA chapters joined them on their journey to Illinois. Highlights of the train ride were the reclining seats, the view from the observation car, and getting to know fellow FFA members. Their adventure to the Palmer House Hilton began with a mile walk through the chilly “Windy City.” The Palmer House was like no other with its history, ambiance, and Victorian murals. The seniors ate like royalty in the comfort of their eighth story rooms. The next day, the FFA chapters joined together to tour the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry and the Shedd Aquarium. In the evening, they Ubered to The Second City comedy club where they were entertained by improv and endless laughs. On the last morning the seniors had their traditional Starbucks and storytelling to prepare for the day ahead. The weekend was topped off with a 103 story view from Willis Tower, ice skating, and photoshoots at the iconic bean. To conclude the trip, all chapters congregated back at the station and made the most of a three hour train delay with mouthwatering food, card games, and sharing their “Windy City” memories.

Message to Ms. Bishop:
The FFA seniors would like to congratulate Ms. Bishop on surviving her first Chicago senior trip as a first year advisor. We will always remember the ice machines, iced tea, and possible falling ice.
